As experienced registered dietitian nutritionists who have gone through this powerful change in our bodies caused by menopausal transition, we wanted to create a supportive community.
We want to help you regain your vitality and wellness – mind, body, and spirit. We’re Tiffani and Erin and we’re here to help kick start a whole New U!
Our friendship goes back a long time—a really long time—like, 40+ years. You may not know this about us, but we’re cousins! We grew up in a close-knit family with a grandmother who we just adored. Before we knew we wanted to pursue a career in nutrition, fitness, and wellness, we were being taught about good nutrition and clean eating by our grandmother. (She liked to call herself the original dietitian.) From as far back as we can remember, we both couldn’t wait to spend the night at our grandparent’s house. She made sure to nourish our bodies with clean, freshly-made meals, and nourished our souls with the quality time we spent together.
Fast-forward almost twenty years, we both became registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) and pushed pause on our careers while we raised our children. (Between us, we have seven kids!) Motherhood has been such a rewarding (and difficult) job. But as our children grew, we knew that we needed to continue to nourish that part of us that made us tick—our passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
In 2009, U Rock Girl was born! We spent countless hours writing nutrition, fitness, and wellness articles, as well as developing nutritious and delicious recipes. And in 2014, we published our first cookbook: No Excuses! 50 Healthy Ways to ROCK Breakfast! This first cookbook was met with such great success, so we got busy writing the follow up, “No Excuses! 50 Healthy Ways to ROCK Lunch & Dinner!” which came out in 2017.
We’ve contributed to national magazines like Clean Eating, Oxygen and well as the American Council for Exercise. You might have seen us in numerous online health magazines (like Daily Burn) and we’ve been featured guest speakers for numerous organizations on the topics of nutrition, fitness, and wellness.
What makes U Rock Girl different
When we each personally experienced menopause, we saw new changes in our bodies and we’re proud to say that we learned how to overcome the health challenges that go along with it.
We know that it can be quite hard to get a handle on your health as you’re experiencing perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms, but we've got you covered.
We understand—we really do—and we only recommend recipes, workouts and habits that put you on a steady path to whole health and wellness.
